Over the years I have created several IRC bots, namely mattbot, mattbot2 and mattbot3. I created the original mattbot using mIRCStorm, and it had very basic functions - a few quote pages and an 8ball. mattbot2 was a more advanced bot - it had a central method of choosing how to reply to commands, but the scripts were very much individual. Still, it had the first version of my !bv script for Neveron battlevalues. When I created mattbot3, I had the intention of making a much more integrated bot. I think I succeeded. I also changed command prefix to ~, originally to avoid conflicts with mattbot2 as I changed over, but decided I actually liked it. It also means it avoids conflict with almost every other bot ever created. Eventually, I decided to create a new bot, mattbot4, a more advanced version. However, as yet I haven't bothered to finish everything.
